The Binge women have been running wild for the last few months, devising a new work called Wolf.
The performance is directed by Claire O'Loughlin, performed by Rachel Baker, Fiona McNamara and Isobel MacKinnon, with sound by Stephanie Cairns and the image below by Hannah Newport-Watson. The wolves say: "In this work we are rejecting pre-conceived notions of how human beings should or shouldn't look and behave, and are playing in a physical and visceral way, in an attempt to remove the cliches that spring to mind with the term 'wolf women' - cliches which inhibit true physical freedom - and experience instead what a real, barbaric, feral, and free wolf woman would look, act, smell and sound like." The performance is on at People's Cinema (the former Rock Shop on Manners Street) on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 November, 8pm and a matinee on Saturday 30 November at 3pm. No bookings, just come along. Entry is by koha (suggestion $5 per person).
