"In April, Joel collaborated with Karin McCracken, Jo Randerson, Anya Tate-Manning, Maria Williams, Meg Rollandi and Nick Zwart to create A Trial. 

The show followed court procedures and involved a defamation case about TVNZ's controversial Kiwimeter and took place over 5 nights. Witnesses and the jury were drawn from the public.
