Our free shows in New York are on this week at La MaMa Galleria. Come along, but not all 8 million of you please, the space only has capacity for 50 or so. Ha ha, joking aside bring your friends.
In Wellington, Scratch Nacht nabbed an NZ Fringe award for innovative concept. Thanks so much to the artists who made it happen and to Inverlochy House for hosting us. Also very pleased to see our comrade Izzy pick up the directing award and also best of fringe. After months and months of fundraising, planning, rehearsing and anxiously watching American weather reports, we're finally heading off to New York to perform in New Zealand New Performance at La MaMa.
We're asking all our kiwi friends to support us by letting their New York friends know about our shows, which are free and on 19-22 March. You can invite them to the facebook pages for For Your Future Guidance and Break Up [We Need to Talk]. We're coming a long way so we'd love to have an audience! We'll be writing some updates about the trip here and on the scrapbook blog. Catch you later! Come to Scratch Nacht this Saturday! Simon is spearheading a special one-off Scratch Night at Inverlochy House this weekend. It'll be kind of a party, there'll be about a million different performance experiments going on, there'll be some kind of bar. Turn up at 8pm and just get invested. Free, loose, raw, bitesized, in a mansion. All the details and etc here. Here is the plan! Also!
Break Up and Whales picked up "Spirit of the Fringe" award at the Auckland Fringe Awards for "a company/person who consistently makes work that is innovative and sits well within a Fringe context". That's really awesome. Also here's our Future Guidance poster |
